The Honda MSX 125. It’s compact, but not unreasonably small, and despite the fact that it seems like a gimmicky device, don’t be duped. The MSX is precisely shaped and will appeal to both younger riders seeking a quirky, geared motorcycle and older riders seeking something slightly unusual to have some fun with.

The fuel-injected engine runs wonderfully well, making excellent use of its full 9.65 horsepower and 10.9 Nm of torque to accelerate quickly. The Grom is undoubtedly a lively little machine. The MSX has a four-speed transmission, which is unusual among geared bikes because it is easier to use and less intimidating for beginners than a six-speed ‘box.
